“La Femme Anjola” tells the story of a young man Dejare (Bassey) who becomes entangled in a deadly game of cat and mouse when he meets and falls for a mysterious woman, Anjola (Rita Dominic) whom he simply cannot have. The movie is not your usual Nollywood story or production. We have seen it and think it is an excellent production (see our review).
We also went scouring through Twitter to find out what people are saying about the movie. There is hardly any bad feedback, as far as we could fine. The only one we could term bad was someone saying it ran for too long. Everyone who has watched it seem to be impressed by the story and the production.
Here are the things social media users are saying about the movie:
#lafemmeAnjola is a movie everyone should see. Didn’t anticipate how it ended but it was a beautiful watch and the actors brought the characters to life. Dragged a bit too long tho

“Each character seems to have a dual personality. But this is the hat-trick of the director; building blocks of suspense in each sequence, after all, what is a neo-noir film without mystery.”-Vanessa Obioha #lafemmeAnjola #masterpiece #inCinema @MealdredO @ritaUdominic pic.twitter.com/mz126dFLZt

#LafemmeAnjola is so good I’m watching it twice.
If @MealdredO cooked it and @ritaUdominic spiced it, it is sweet.
Go watch it and thank me later. pic.twitter.com/nj8v95XUdn— OZUNU (@jkosisochi) March 23, 2021
This is a must-watch! Refreshing plot, rich and unexpected twists – as in TWISTS – and a respectable resolution. I loved watching #lafemmeAnjola https://t.co/r8WbUmnRer

#lafemmeAnjola while I watched this beautiful piece of art, I couldn't help but stan and re-stan @NonsoBassey and @ritaUdominic , as an actor, I saw the intensity of the work they both put in. I didn't recognise any of them. The vulnerability of their scenes together, BRILLIANT

#lafemmeAnjola for me is the best I have seen in story, plot and twist in recent times. @MealdredO was REALLY INTENTIONAL about everything & the actors, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM was a delight to watch. I fell in love with the Kenyan lady. It is worth every penny spent. Watch it!
