Genesis Cinemas at Novare Mall is one of the cinemas in the Genesis Deluxe Cinemas franchise. I visited the cinema on Monday, 21 December 2020 to see the movie, Nneka the Pretty Serpent.
Below is my review of the cinema from that visit.
Number of screens: The cinema has five screens in a semi circular layoutt. The movie I saw was shown in screen two, which was quite comfortable. The seats were plush and were divided into two sections by a central aisle, with floor lighting to guide patrons.
Ambience: The cinema provides a good ambience, with seats for patrons to sit while waiting for their movies to start.
Hygiene: The environment was clean, but on the day of the visit, the restrooms attached to the movie screens were locked because they were out of order.
Movie food: Genesis Cinemas at Novare Mall had more variety beyond popcorn and drinks. Food items available for sale included salt and sugar popcorn, pizza, grilled chicken sandwich, and ice cream. For a 3000 Naira movie ticket, you will get a large popcorn and drink, while for a 3500 Naira ticket, you get a pizza and drink.
Quality of service: The staff were courteous; they had smiles on and were even patient with kids who could not make quick choices. They were also quick to apologize when they delayed in attending to patrons.
